I just got all the parts for my new rig, here's a list of the specs;

CPU FX 8320
Motherboard Asus M5A99FX Pro R2.0
GPU Gigabyte GTX 770 SC
PSU Rosewill HIVE 750W
RAM Gskill 1866
HDD 1 TB 7200 WD blue
CPU Cooler EVO 212 (Not yet arrived so using stock heatsink for now)

I'm a complete new comer to building so please keep that in mind.

After installing everything and powering on, the LED next to the gpu slot on the mother board comes on in red for a second, there's a short beep and the led goes off.

After that the boot device LED goes red for a second, also beeps shortly, and then is gone. The fans all work and the motherboard does not power off and the gpu's fans also spin. But there's no signal to the monitor.

I took it all out of the case and assembled everything again on the table using the motherboard box as a test bench. Same results.

The only light that stays on is the SB-PWR light on the motherboard which is green.

On the PSU there are multiple rows of red slots for 8 or 6 pin connectors. The cables provided allow me to use either one so I tried both rows with the same result. I use the already integrated cables in the psu to power the mother board one 24 pin and one 8 pin. I also installed the RAM sticks to the blue sockets as recommended by the motherboard manual.

If you need any more information please ask.

TL;DR HALP! I cant build computers apparently!!!

That GPU has power plugs, and needs to be connected to your PSU.

I went through the list and no change.
I tried on estick at a time in all slots and nothing changed.
I tired no ram and it beeped differently.
I tried no GPU and it again beeps differently and the light on the pcie slot for gpu stays red.

I must be doing something obvious wrong because all fans on everything spin and the red light dont stay on.

Also i had already connected the gpu to psu using both privided cables. The psu has 2 rows of red slots. ONe row has 6 slots in each and the other 8. The red cables provided are either 6 to 8 and 6+2 or 8 to 8 and 6+2, I tried both and neither changes results. Am I connecting the gpu incorrectly? Because the problem seems to be the gpu since theres no signal and only 2 beeps.

ps; I also tried the gpu in every slpt and no change. 2 beeps and red light come on and go off.

Hmm, that does sound like a CPU issue, you're not using an hdmi to vga adapter or anything are you? And I'm reading correctly that it does turn on and start up just fine?

I'm only using a DVI cable and the motherboard powers on and beeps twice, all the fans spin and some of the led light come on red and then turn off but the mobo stays on. The problem is no signal to the monitor.

Well it turnes the problem was with the monitor somehow. Mustve been the dvi port on the back of the monitor since I can connect it to my 360 via vga just fine. In the process of the installing windows, will close thread after I'm done with set up.
