I just built my rig. I have an i7 4770k, 8gb 2x4gb patriot ram (except 1 stick is DOA) and a gigabyte sniper z87 motherboard. My cpu usage is consistently high, even at idle, and at times when im downloading, i get an error message that i need to close applications because i am running out of memory. How can i lower my cpu usage? i am not overclocked but consistently runs at 3.7ghz (which is normal with the boost right?) but yah, im totally fine with conservation when im not gaming so any tips to make things more stable?
