Got a new mouse, Sharkoon Fireglider...very nice accept the Mouse Editor software will not recognize it, so I'm not really able to take advantage of the features since I can only adjust the sensitivity and nothing else within Win 7.

I do believe the issue is the result of my MS Wireless mouse. I have MS Wireless desktop receiver that's used for both mouse and keyboard, uninstalled the mouse in Device Manager however after reboot it comes back even after removing batteries. Disabling the mouse in Device Manager also did not cause the Sharkoon software to recognize my new mouse. My guess is that it's picking up the mouse from the wireless receiver, and I can't uninstall that because I would still like to use my wireless keyboard.

Anybody have any ideas how I could wipe the MS wireless mouse from my system and continue to use my wireless keyboard? I'm thinking of maybe uninstalling Intellipoint software...

Your wireless mouse can't be recognized if the batteries are removed. I don't understand how it could "come back" as there's no way to talk to it. Not saying you didn't observe this but it makes no sense.

You could try to remove the Microsoft software for the keyboard/mouse, and preferably also use a different, wired keyboard at the same time just to troubleshoot.

I think Sharkoon technical support or forums might be a better spot for help.

Lol whoever pick photonboy's reply as 'Best solution' really has no clue, this is definitely not the best solution if a solution at all. I already explained Windows keeps picking up the mouse because of the wireless hub, that's the only way it could be detecting the mouse since the batteries are removed. I've just been using the mouse as is without the software because Sharkoon customer support is terrible.
