Low TRANSFER SPEED

Hi Guys

I Have 2 internal hard drive when i was copy the file from second hard Drive wD(500GB)(first partition to second partition) first buffer size is 65mbps then decrease to 1.28mbps up to 2.mbps
ill Tested My Hard Drive (wd500) With Software Hd Tune Pro Every thing Is Fine
Can someone help me pls

My Current system Specific ::::::

Motherboard: j&w ig41hd3

Vga: nvidia 2gb ddr3 gt430

Hdd1: axtor 160gb

Hdd2: wd 500avvs-63zwb0 (500gb) capacity

Ram: 2*2 4gb ddr3 patriot

Cpu: intel core 2 duo 3.0

os: win 8.1 Enterprise

One partition to another is always slow, because it's got to read, then move the head, then write, then move the head back.

Copying from one drive to another will be much faster.

Is the drive (both partitions) defragged?
What size are these files and how many are there? (lots of small files take alot lnger than a few large ones)
Is this drive the boot drive?
Is write caching on this drive enabled or disabled?

Never cut and paste. Always copy, verify the copy, and then delete the originals if you wish.
