Hey folks i've got this netbook (HP 110-3700SD) that i'd like to upgrade since it's awfully slow. I can't even watch a movie on it.

These are the specs:
Intel Atom N455 @ 1.66Ghz
250GB Hdd @ 5400rpm
2GB Corsair ddr3
250gb hdd
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150
win 7 32-bit

Speccy indicated the mobo as to be the hewlett packard 1584

First thing I did was to replace the hdd with an ssd which made it ofc faster but the processor seems to be bottlenecking as hell. It tends to max out quite a lot. 2gb ram seems enough since I've never seen it in use above 1gb.

Now my question is: is there any way to replace the motherboard (and thus the processor)? Where could I get such a mobo and at what price? Any other ideas on how to make this faster?

Yea I expected reactions like these but I did not buy the ssd for this intentionally, I just moved it from my pc for a sec. I'm just wondering If I could do a mobo upgrade

tbh it wouldnt be worth the time looking for the exact same size / shape mobo as they wouldnt be any better, they would be designed for the same case / time area a few years back, i would look at scrapping and selling old parts and reusing them :)

By the time you find a usable motherboard and faster CPU for it, you may as well sell it and buy a new system.

Netbooks are OK for non-HD movies. 2 gig of RAM is also the max for most netbooks so you can't do anything else there.

This is the trap many people fall into with the cheapness of the netbook. Ooooo it's cute and small and only $250! Then comes the "I can't run anything on it!!!" part when they actually use it. Which is whey they are all over craigslist with people trying to dump them for a real laptop.
