I bought a desk mount for dual monitor but it wont let me move my monitors vertically to align them. I have 2 monitors with same brand but different models. One monitor is higher by 1.5" than the other. How can I align them properly? I can't find any adapter to be able to move the monitor up or down.

More about : dual monitors lower physically

What brand are they? If they are dell you can find some adjustable stands for them. Most of the dell screens all use the same stand type that is easily removable. They are the only brand that i know of that has adjustable stands.

You can use like a phone book or some wood or get a Dual Monitor Desktop stand to mount them both to assuming they both have the corrent VESA mounting holes on the back.

I have asus monitors. I have the desktop mounts for dual monitor but I didn't know that monitors of same brands can have different placement of vesa mounts. One of my monitor has it's mounting holes 1.5" higher than the other one. I thought there would be like and extension for vesa mounts so I can move one of the monitors up or down to level with the other.

Sell one, or give it to a friend who needs one, buy another that matches what you have? Thats what I would do.

Can you not adjust the height of the monitors on the stand? most of them allow you to adjust the position for either one. Or well at least everyone i have dealt with does

This model doesn't let you do that. The left and right arms are connected, so if I lower one arm the other will follow. I was trying to find an individual arm to buy from ebay but couldn't find one.

One of the monitors is old model and been with me for 2 years now. So it will be very cheap if I sell it, probably not half the price of a new monitor. And this monitor is discontinued, so I can't sell my newer one to buy a same monitor as my old monitor.
