Hello all,
So I wanted to know if a sli bridge is needed. I have an GTX 780ti and a GTX 670. Can I dedicate one GPU for mining and the other for games or will it destroy my motherboard? I have a Asus Maximus 5. Thanks in advance.

Solution
Get rid of the GTX670.

1) You don't want to be mining at the same time as gaming anyway as it would use up important CPU cycles.

2) The GTX670 will also add heat to the case.

3) Mining won't necessarily make you money any more.

4) As said, those cards can't SLI but here's the reason why:

SLI does something called AFR (Alternate Frame Rendering). Each card processes the game itself only the first card does the first FRAME, then the second card does the second FRAME and it repeats. Thus the GPU's need to be IDENTICAL which is why only the same models work together (i.e. 2xGTX780Ti).
