Does R7 265 need more than 500W PSU?

I m planning to buy graphic card among R7 265 and 750 ti. As i see R7 265 will be more price/performance but i have only 500W cooler master PSU. So is it compatible or should i have to go for GT 750ti ?
AFAIK, R7 265 power consumption is similiar to R9 270 which needs 600W PSU. Am i right? or should i wait R7 265 to reach market?

P.S :- I know GTX 660 or boost edition more recommended but i m looking for good resale value also. So sticking with 750ti.

The 6 pin connector gets its power from the 12v rail. Your PSU will be fine for the R7 265

You can run a 7950 on a 500w PSU, so you can definitely run an R7 265 on it too.

It's not about total wattage, what matters is the amperage on the 12v rail.

My PSU has seperate 6 pin connector. So i think amperage on 12v rail is not considered. Isnt it?
