Deciding on a graphics card, either the Zotac GTX 770 4GB or the ASUS GTX 770 4GB. My motherboard, the Maximus VI Formula is by ASUS and I like their tech spec on the card but am I missing/overlooking something on the Zotac card, which was recommended before. To me the ASUS card seems better value and last time I looked on Amazon it was about £80 cheaper? Is there an advantage to the Zotac over the ASUS, I imagine that Zotac are proper tuning specialists or something but does that really cut it against ASUS' resources?...

Thanks.

Not sure if it's an option, but look into the EVGA gtx 770's. With the new series of cards set to come out any time now, the step up program they offer is going to be greatly used.
If not interested in evga, I would go for the Asus. Their parts are top notch. They don't have the reputation they have for nothing.

Yeah Asus is great. I'd say its better than the zotac. Not saying zotac is bad but I've heard of some issues here and there like the cooler not mounted right. And of people I know that own anything Asus they praise it

Cheers guys, I'm gonna go for the ASUS. They've always had their act together in my experience and the card certainly looks the part...

You get what you pay for. It is as simple as that. The specs for the Zotac gtx 770 is higher than that of Asus. I would love to see them compared in a benchmark.

I'd definitely go for Zotac. In terms of durability, it may be a close call but on stability for OC/Amp cards, Zotac wins!

Been using Zotac cards and none of them ever failed me. And yeah, Zotac's 770 specs are higher than the Asus'.

Just upgraded my thinking to a 780 DirectCU II OC instead. Still heavily leaning towards ASUS, better power components and extra OC headroom via an effective GPU boost workaround, it seems.
