Black screen and it reboots the computer

At first I thought maybe its with the game thats why its rebooting thought it would be a bug or something but later on when tried crysis 3 it faced the same problem. rolled back to 13.1 from 13.12(catalyst) but still the problem persists. please help

here are my system specs:

AMD FX4100 x4 3.6ghz
8GB DDR3 1333mhz Ram
MSI R6950 Twin Frozr III 2GB
Resolution:1280x1024
1 TB HDD Seagate Barracuda
Mobo:- 760GM-P21
PSU:- Corsair VS550

Catalyst version"- 13.12

Could be power issues, check your log files in event viewer.

Hard to see but if it lists power failure in the error logs then the PSU although big enough maybe faulty.

Card driver issue http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/bb509553(v=vs.85).aspx could be failing or overheating card. If not clean the card and if overclocked bring down clocks to std.

I was able to play the game for next 15mins and again this DXGI error occured. Are you suggesting me that my graphics card is dying?

Changed the clock frequency to a stock card's frequency lemme see if it helps or not.

This time it lasted for 23minutes and after that my system rebooted. What could be the issue?

Does it reboot just during the game or does it reboot randomly when doing other things also?

yeah even i also thought so, cuz its a new psu had bought almost 2 months back.

anyway just had a word with msi's rma manager, said bring back the card to them, its still under warranty they're gonna either repair it or replace it. am getting ready to go there(hardly 10mins away from my home.)

once it gets repaired will let you know.
