I have a business need to run a pair of 29" ultra-wide displays for total desktop size of 5120x1080 pixels. What video card (if any) supports running two ultra-wide monitors at the same time (one via HDMI and one via DisplayPort I guess). Thanks in advance for any info on what graphic card(s) it will take to accomplish this...

many gpus will but look at the AMD 6000 to 7000 series cards on their websites, in the specifications is the max resolution size :) I cant recommend any as the type varies on what you are doing e.g. rendering

Thanks for the reply. So any card that supports HDMI at 2560x1080 (or higher) plus DisplayPort at 2560x1080 (or higher) should work to drive two head then?

Here's the kicker: this is for a proof-of-concept process control system using a bunch of leftover Dell's (620s, 630s) from a previous project. The motherboard has a PCIe x16 (assume v1.0) and a PCIe X1 slot. I know that PCIe 3.0 x16 should be backward compatible with the 1.0 slot on the mobo, but will dumbing the interface down to 1.0 be too slow to re-draw two ultra-wide monitors? My application redraws the entire desktop (maximized app) 3 times per second.
