Intel Smart Response _together_ with a boot & OS SSD - does it make sense?

Hi all,

I have a motherboard that supports Intel SRT, but I know that boot SSd is faster, so I bought a 128GB Plextor.
But I still have a big HDD with data which I access quite a lot, so I thought - why not buy a small cheap SSD and use Intel SRT to cache it?
This way the system will load very fast and the frequently accessed files on the HDD will be cached for quick access too.
Does this actually make any sense or I will be just spending money on a useless 60 GB SDD?

Thanks!
Alex
