I'm building a new gaming/video editing rig in ~15 days. I will be rendering around 3 hours of 720p video a day in addition to livestreaming and recording modern games at high frames (BF4, etc.).
I'm trying to decide between a 4770k and 4930k. I'm curious if anyone could share with me a general "ball park" difference between the two.
For example, right now it takes me roughly 25 minutes to render a 20 minutes video with an i5 2550k. If I were to upgrade to a 4770k, how long would it take me to render that 20 minute video? What if I were to upgrade to a 4930k?
Time is my main determining factor in selecting a CPU. I do not mind paying a few extra hundred dollars if it can save me a few minutes off of each 20 minute video.
Thanks in advance!
