Problems with Turtle Beach ear force z11 on stereo sound

I recently bought the Turtle Beach Ear Force Z11. The headset has one plug 3.5mm for mic and speakers and an adapter for two 3.5mm plugs (mic and speakers). Without the adapter works fine, but with the adapter only works in mono audio. The problem is that without the adapter the cable is too short. When i tested the stereo in windows it sounds the left and right sound in the left speaker. Any solution?

Sounds as though the adapter is faulty, you should be able to arrange an exchange with Turtle Beach or, if not wanting to go that route, there are extensions (and even adapters) available

I put your answer as the solution but it wasnt. I was plugging bad the single 3.5mm in the adapter hahaha. Thank you for the answer. Sorry for my bad english, im from Buenos aires, Argentina :)
