So i'm making a list of components for a gaming pc that I plan to build some time this year.
The parts I have listed currently are:
Corsair vengeance 8gb (2x4)
Intel core I5 4570 Quad core (3.2 GHz, 6mb)
Western Digital 1TB Caviar Blue
MSI Z87-G45 ATX motherboard DDR3
MSI Nvidia GTX 760 2gb DDR5 Twin Frozr
Would this run games like BF4 and DayZ on ultra(or high) with decent framerates, and if possible could any of these components be swapped for a cheaper one that will give slightly less performance but will not make a huge impact?
Could I swap out that MSI graphics card for the Asus AMD radeon HD 7850 2gb DDR5?

Solution
I have that GPU and the 4670k, and get pretty much maxed out DayZ at around 50 fps, so yeah, that build would do great :)

You could get a B85 or H87 motherboard though, as the Z87 chipset just allows overclocking and SLI, both of which you wouldn't be able to do. This could get you a good amount cheaper :)

And no, the 7850 would be a pretty steep drop down in performance.

Yeah that one would be fine. I just brought this up because the 4570 is a locked CPU, meaning you can't overclock it. If you spend a few more pounds you can get the 4670k which is unlocked, I was just trying to save you some money since you were asking if there was a way lol

If I was to change my GPU selection to the sapphire dual-X AMD radeon R9-280x 3gb DDR5 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sapphire-Dual-X-Radeon-GDDR5-Graphics/dp/B00FL8H57W/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1393169939&sr=1-1&keywords=sapphire+dual-x+amd+radeon+r9+280x )
Would I have to change that MOBO to one that supports DDR5 memory?

Nah ddr5 memory is graphics card specific. The mobo will undoubtedly have ddr3 slots for your dimms. Check the mobo user guide to check which slots to use though as it'll probably have two slots with faster bandwidth.
