HI,
installed coolermaster Hyper T4 cooler as describe in manula to the a T.
boot on everything comes to life but then powers off, i went in reverse removing component after component, untill all i had was cpu and cooler and fan connected still the same. swapped ram about again no good.
what is it with cpu coolers, such a headache for such a simple thing.
I think its the connection plate on back of motherboard causing a short some how and not quite good enough for certain boards, or the metal strap that goes across the heat sink is pulling to tightly causing the cpu to bend in its socket causing it to start but because its so tight with the new metal strap over the new coolermaster heatsink pulling it down on to the board, its just fails on boot up.
I put my stock back in and it worked flawlessly no probs at all ever, very dissapointed so i gave up on it and sold it on.
does anyone have any experience like this, its seems for some cpu coolers are a knightmare, i just think its just tight on the fitting causing a slight bend on motherboard and cpu socket but its too much and causes this erractic problem, like i said stripped it down in stages got the same resulut threw and threw, some mentioned RAM, i faill to see what ram has to do with copper cooling pipes ????, anyway, i went back to liquid cooling better easier and no probs.
cpu cooles have put me off, so staying away from them. Anyway gues if you have any info i would like to hear what happend and what you did, as i work in pc,s. And this is just a head ache and im trying to nail it down as to what it is causing it.
