So I bought a micro-HDMI to HDMI cable to connect my computer to my TV (which is actually just a big LG monitor). Problem is when I connect the cable, no signal is transmitted. I know the HDMI port on the TV works as I use it for the cablebox, is the issue the cord? Do I need to use the micro-HDMI converter that comes with the graphics card? Confused as to why no signal is going from the computer to the TV...

Do you have any other connection tested or is the first connection attempt?

I've tested the HDMI port on the TV- works fine. I haven't tested the Micro-HDMI port on the computer/video card, it's never been used so it would be surprising if it just didn't work.

It happens all the time that someone gets a card that does not display from the beginning. I take it cooling fan is running fine on the card and you were connecting to the port on the card?

Yes cooling fan works fine and I am connecting to the port on the card. TV/Monitor is LG m4201ce if that helps...

You might want to see if there is BIOS update available for it but I believe the card is not working at all and sending display to your monitor. It is either broken or there are compatibility issues.

Perhaps a resolution issue? I was using a 4:3 monitor (don't know model) with the computer, which certainly has different resolution specs than this HDTV...

Should not be an issue, did the card work with the monitor or have you tried it?

What connection? Maybe the mHDMI connector on the card is bad.

Found the problem... It was the Micro HDMI- HDMI cable that wasn't working. I did not realize until after I bought the cable that the graphics card came with a Micro HDMI- HDMI adapter, which I am now using with a standard HDMI cable. Not sure why that works and the cable doesn't but doesn't matter now... Thanks for your help!

Maybe the cable was bad all along, the adapter only changes the size of the connector.
