7950 or 7970

I'm looking at either 7950 or 7970 card and wanting to upgrade from my Nividia 570 SC 2.5gb

My current setup is as follows

I7-3770k

800w Corsair PSU (Probably going to
upgrade to a 1000w modular)

Full ATX Antec Tower

Asus Maximus V Formula Assassian Creed 3 edition

570 SC

1920x1080 120hz monitor

8gb Ram (Upgrading soon from 1333 to 2400)

Windows 8 64bit

If I've left anything out feel free to ask and I'll provide the detail.

I'm looking to buy the bigger more expensive pieces first. Unless you think I should go for the ram first as I'm kinda cross between the two. Going with Modular to improve the air flow through my case so I don't clutter it with unused cables. This is what I was looking at in regard to that.

Stay away from Kingwin, would be a massive downgrade in quality from current PSU. With the inflated prices in the US on AMD cards why not go for GTX770?
System with a single GTX770 or HD7970 will run on quality 550watt unit so you can look for more options on the PSU but 1000watts is massive overkill!

If anything the GTX770 is slightly more powerful than a R9 280X which is renamed and tweaked HD7970GHz edition.
