i use the DVI on my GPU but i would like to also use the HDMI on my motherboard it seems nothing on the upper half works except the USB ports i was told to investigate the BIOS but im not a 100% sure please help

Go into bios and check if onboard integrated graphics is enabled.

If it's turned off then no, you won't get a signal from it.

Also if you bought mobo from newegg you should easily be able to find it through order history....
