As of yesterday I am no longer able to connect to the internet using a wired connection. I have run the trouble shooter numerous times and it keeps saying the LAN network adapter is not connected. I have used the same ethernet cable to connect to my PS3 and the connection works fine. How do i reconnect the network adapter. I am using a Toshiba Satellite laptop running Windows 7?

If you're able to use this cable on all devices other than your laptop, then it sounds like the Ethernet port on your laptop has gone bad.

Just to be safe and verify, I'd take the laptop to a friends home, and make sure that you're unable to get it to detect connections there as well.

So when the cable is plugged into your PS3, it works fine, but when you plug it into your laptop, it says that the network adapter is not connected? This is almost certainly a problem with your laptop NIC/config.

If your network card is enabled properly, but it is unable to detect the cable, then your network card may have gone bad.

With the cable plugged in, type ipconfig in DOS Prompt, and share the output. I'd be happy to diagnose.
