Asus Sabertooth 990fx VS Asrock Extreme9
For overclocking my FX-6350

Stable in my m5a99fx @ 4.6ghz, but that mobo is going to someone else, and I'd like to reach for 5ghz

My question is, i suppose, primarily about power phases, the Asrock board has something like 12+2 or 14 power phases? and the Asus has 10? (feel free to correct me) because of this i feel inclined to go with the Asrock board.

Does the number of power phase impact performance/stability?

Is there any significant difference in quality between Asrock and Asus?

rest of my build
Corsair CX750
Gigabyte 4gb 770
8gb RAM 1866mhz
Noctua D14

Both motherboards are really good and can overclock that high but the most important thing is your cooling for your CPU if you don't get the right cooler you could end up with a burnt cpu, also make sure your power supply has enough watts to help you overclock to 5ghz +

Gona say this flat out you will not be disappointed with the sabertooth 990fx. I have it for my fx8120 and I LOVE IT! Alot of people can back me up to say that ASUS is very confident in there Sabertooth series they even back it with a 5 year warranty. SR-71 Blackbird a known member of toms stated he actually has 2 of these bad boys and he would agree and say you can't go wrong with it.
