Processor: Intel Core i7-4770k - $329.99

Motherboard: Asus z87-pro - $189.99

Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 - $329.99

Memory: Kingston HyperX KHX 8gb(2x4gb) - $88.99

Solid State Drive: Samsung 840 EVO 120gb - $99.99

Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 1tb - $59.99

Case: Cooler Master CM Storm Trooper Full ATX - $137.99

Power Supply: XFX Pro Series 750W 80 PLUS gold - $122.99

CPU Cooler: Thermalright Macho REV A - $49.99

Operating System: Windows 8.1 64-bit - $97.99

Monitor: Asus 228H 21.5 inch - $136.99

These prices are all according to superbiiz. I wanted to know where I could shave off some money and whether or not there was any redundancies along the way. I didn't include an optical drive because I feel it's not vital at the moment. I am also planning on messing around with overclocking at some point in the future.

Thanks a lot for any input!

The build looks pretty good. If this is a gaming system and you're just looking to lower the price a bit then you could go with the i5-4670K. There is little to no difference between it and the i7-4770K in most games. You could also save some money on the case, PSU, and CPU cooler. It's very important to get a high quality PSU, but you can get a good PSU for less than $123.
