Computer Freezing Frequently

Recently I have had a problem where randomly I will have my computer freeze up. I don't know if it is a hardware problem or a software problem. I don't seem to be doing one particular thing when it happens. So far I have run Memtest and that turned up nothing, and I reinstalled Windows(7) but to no avail. I also tried changing the memory timings in my Mobo bios but that didn't help either. I really don't know how to figure out what is wrong.

I've updated the post to include my specs, and no I have not monitored the temps on my hardware, should I download HWMonitor and post the results?

Well, I think I found the weak link. That Raidmax PSU is not a quality component and isn't doing you any favors toward a stable system. If your temps check out fine I would set your sites on the PSU. How long have you had the system? Is there still a return window so you can return that PSU and get a decent one?

I have had the system since the beginning of 2013 and all of my temps seemed to be good:
CPU 28 degrees C
GPU 47 degrees C
MOBO 44 degrees C

It surprise me that the PSU may have gone bad. So you recommend that I try and return it and get a better one?

Also, is there a way that I could test the PSU to see if it is faulty?
-checked on newegg and it says that it has a 2 year limited warranty but I am not sure what that means exactly and if it would be worth trying to RMA/return.

There isn't a real good way to test a PSU without specific equipment designed for testing. You can test the voltage output, but it doesn't tell you much since the PSU isn't under any load. You probably can't return the PSU and it's not worth doing an RMA since the replacement will also be junk. The HD 7770 doesn't require a high capacity PSU. A 450W PSU could power the system, but it would be better to get something in the 500W - 550W range. The XFX Core Edition PRO550W is an excellent PSU that currently has a promo code and mail-in rebate that bring the total price down to just $25.99 @ Newegg. I highly recommend getting that PSU.

That seems like a good deal and I will probably order this today, but I want to upgrade my cpu to a 4770k or a 4820k, would this psu still work well with those options (I want to get a new graphics card as well, but that won't be for quite a while)? Thanks so much for all of your help btw.

Just ordered it, will update post once it has been installed.

Update: Got the PSU in the mail yesterday, installed it and started up fine. I have been using it for about a day now doing some more intensive things that would have guaranteed a freeze with the old problem and have had no problems whatsoever. Thanks so much for your help!
