What Ram Should I Get

Hey all!
I need low profile RAM and I was wondering what the fastest low profile RAM that is 1.5v or less was. I need it to be compatible with the ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition motherboard and the Intel i7-4960X CPU. I'd really like it to be 16gb! I appreciate all of your help.

Thanks in advance,

I'd look at a 4x4GB set, no sense in having a Quad channel mobo and only running in dual channel (and no don't believe that's it's fine to buy two sets of 2x4GB, A) there's no guarantee they will play together B) XMP is programmed by the packaged set (i.e. a 2x4GB set may call for a tRFC of 128 where a 4 stick set requires 208 in the tRFC.. C) many places won't refund or exchange if you buy 2 sets they say they won't work together, many people try this to save $4-10 over a 4 stick set, and the 4 stick sets are more expensive because they test to find sticks that all play together in a given set. Best DRAM I've had in a Black Edition were the GSkill Tridents 2133/9 or 2400/10 and the GSkill Snipers in 1866/9 and 2133/9 (

Your motherboard should be compatible with pretty much all types of DDR3 ram (from 1333mhz up) I generally recommend 1833mhz so two of these are perfect: http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-Desktop-Memory-CML8GX3M2A1866C9B/dp/B008HK4ZAG/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1393031209&sr=8-5&keywords=1.5v+low+profile+ram+2x4gb
You need two because LGA2011 has quad-channel RAM.

Or you can buy this better suited to the black colour scheme but worse in speed and price quad pack:

The good thing about quad packs is that they are guaranteed to all work together (you can return them if they don't) but with 2 dual packs you can't (but I wouldn't worry, especially with exact same models). Hope this helped :).
