Hey folks, just finished a new build and ran into two issues. Keep in mind, we have run through n through three times checking all connections are hooked up properly. Appreciate all help ahead of responses!

Issue #1:
The following channel memory did not pass CPU memory test.
Please remove the memory, then plug again.
Channel B

(Total memory recognized is 16384MB) - I have 32GB of Gskill ram that is on the approved list for this motherboard

Attempt to resolve issue #1:
Removed and reinserted memory sticks in channel B unsuccessfully.
Swapped channel A and channel B with unsuccessful results

Issue #2:
The case LEDs, Fans and Fan controls are all operational.
The power button on the top of the case (thermaltake chaser mk-1) is non-responsive, but the LED that surrounds it is responsive.
Currently have to power-on machine via motherboard button.

Need assistance getting the memory recognized in issue #1 and power button functional in issue #2.

Thanks!

Solution
Power button:
That's pretty basic:
a) Switch is defective, or
b) Switch is not attached correctly, or
c) Motherboard is defective

I believe if you carefully JUMPER the motherboard pins together with metal it's the same as pressing the switch. So if that works, it's an issue with the switch, if not it's the motherboard and it should be RMA'd regardless of your memory issue.

2) MEMORY:
I'm assuming you consulted the manual, and tried each stick one at a time in the exact slot recommended for SINGLE sticks. If so, and multiple sticks fail your motherboard is defective.

**Are you testing with MEMTEST? You should be. www.memtest.org

(I also recommend removing absolutely EVERYTHING you don't need for the memory test. I suggest you run...

You should ONLY have the CPU, CPU fan, DDR3 memory (one stick in proper slot), power, and graphics card attached.

Thanks for the detailed steps photonboy. I will perform your instructions as shared above, and report back this week on my findings.
