Hey folks,
The title basically says it all. I'm in the market for upgrading (it's been about 2 years since my last build, maybe a bit longer) and I'm going to be purchasing an fx-8320 with the intentions of overclocking. However I do plan on grabbing a second r9 280x (as I currently have one installed in this build that will be transferred to the new build) for crossfire. Right now, from what I've been able to find, is that people tend to really like these two Motherboards.
Asrock Extreme9
Asus Sabertooth 990fx r2.0
My issue with the Asrock is the lack of a secondary pcie x16 slot (allows for dual x8/x8 though) but I've seen some pretty beefy overclocks on this board which make me want to purchase it. On the flipside, I've seen some pretty strong recommendations towards the Sabertooth 990fx r2.0 (slightly less high overclocks) but it retains dual pcie x16 slots.
I guess it comes down to not wanting to bottleneck my cards while retaining a high overclock potential. IF anyone has some better suggestions, I'm all ears.
Thanks guys!
