so i am building a new computer

ok i have a fairly tight budget around 1200-1400 AU

so far this is what i have i will need to add RAM (not sure how much i need or the make or speed)
I have a Blu-Ray drive already

HDD Seagate 1TB SV35 SATA
CASE CoolerMaster RC431
FAN 12CM Sickleflow X Red
MB Gigabyte Z87-HD3 4x DDR3 4xPCI-E 2xPCI 6xSATA3 16xUSB3.0 HDMI D-SUB
CPU ntel Core i7 4770 LGA1150 CPU 3.4Ghz 8Mb Cache Haswell
GPU Asus GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5

*Edit* i also have windows 8 pro 64
bringing the so far total to $1018 AU

If you arent doing a lot of heavy video editing or encoding, drop the 4770 to a 4670k, and use the money saved there to get a gtx 770 instead of the 760. Also don't see a power supply listed, get a seasonic 600 watt or so, and you'd be golden there. As for ram, pretty much any 8 gig dual channel kit will do you well, just stick to ddr3 1600 or faster. Gskill and Corsair are my go to brands for ram, and they both have lifetime warranties.

yea the case comes with 500w
so you think an i5?

well i've done the changes and spent the saving and gone the Gigabyte GV-N780WF3-3GD GTX780 so im now at 1412 will i need a bigger PSU?

Yeah, an I5 is all youll need for gaming. As for the case including a power supply. I wouldn't use it. http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1925006/power-su... is a great little guide for choosing power supplies, and you want to get a either a tier 1 or tier 2 power supply. Again, a 600 watt should be plenty, but the power supply is not the place to go cheap to save a few bucks :-)
