So I have a dilemma, I'm trying to upgrade my rig and am unsure on what will get me the best bump in performance. I'm using a 100gb ssd, 1tb 7200 rpm hdd, gigabyte ud3h-b3 mobo, i5-2500k@4ghz and a Gtx 680(EVGA). I was considering upgrading mobo and processor but benchmarks don't support any real improvement for the i7 4770k. I considered upgrading to a 780ti or getting a second Gtx 680 to SLI, my only oncern is that my mobo is only pcie 2.0 and goes down to x8 x8 when SLI, is that really a huge difference? I've seen mobos that support x16 x16 but they're hugely expensive.
