Hi, I've just put together a PC and I have a problem where the USB3 ports on the gigabyte motherboard (Z87X-UD3H) keep resetting randomly.
For some reason it only happens if I use my Creative Xmod, the audio would first cut out, if I unplug and replug it, the audio returns but the sounds are high pitched and squeaky along with crackling. If I plug my earphones directly into the 3.5mm jack at the front during this time, there would also be the high pitched audio and crackling.
The computer won't shut down or respond (I can still move the mouse) unless if I unplug the Xmod (it would hang at the shutdown screen (windows 7). After rebooting the audio returns to normal until it randomly decides to cut out again. My creative Xmod and earphones works perfectly on other computers.
I have the latest USB 3.0 drives from the gigabyte website, the latest BIOS, and I've installed/updated all the other drivers.
Other USB devices attached:
Microsoft keyboard (USB)
Logitech performance MX wireless mouse
Logitech webcam C170
Belkin USB wireless adapter
Other hardware:
Intel Core i5 4670
Gigabyte GTX 760
8GB Kingston RAM
Corsair 600W PSU
Samsung EVO 840 SSD
1TB seagate HDD
Thanks
