So i Decided to format it with my recovery but when I press my recovery button is says BOOTMGR is missing. (it says bootmgr is missing when I only press recovery button)

I can use my laptop normally. windows is starting normally. but only when i press recovery button its saying bootmgr is missing. Does anyone have any solutoin please?

My laptop is: Sony VAIO VPCCW28FG. WIndows 7 Home premium

Hi
Usually there is an option to build a set of 2 or 3 recovery dvd's which can be used instead of the recovery partition
There is also an option in building a emergency repair cd or USB which may be able to repair the recovery partition problem

Having done building these disks check they can be read in another working PC.
The emergency repair cd is not necessary if you have a real windows 7 DVD of same type as your installation as regards 32 or 64 bit (home, pro, enterprise not important )
Service pack level may be

I would do both in case some thing goes wrong
Also do a full backup onto a USB hard disk or over a network to some ware safe before starting any of these procedures
