Need some help build a pc to be able to play BF4 on high/ultra, also be able to stream and light video editing. i was thinking about getting either a i5 or a i7 4770k but they seem to be pretty high priced for the graphics i have no clue unfortunately. Was also looking at a AMD FX-8350 i think it was, with a R9 270x or the 280. I just want to play some BF4,WoW,LoL,Minecraft, Titanfall, etc etc.. while at high to max settings with pretty good fps. I'm some what on a budget but not really a tight budget i think I'm willing to spend about roughly 700-1.2k. I just need some help or other solutions would be very much appreciated! also Idk which power supply to get i was told a 750w would be great due to i am going to be upgrading down the road (1-2 yrs).

Solution
it can, I mean streaming games isn't really too demanding of a process when compared to editing/encoding/etc, so an AMD FX CPU will do fine, but get the FX 8320 instead and bump up the clocks to 4.0Ghz, it's basically a cheaper FX 8350 this way (or overclock it more for more performance)

and while the i3 should not be underestimated, the FX 8 core CPUs are pretty good for what they are and either way would give you a decent PC, if you do go the AMD route I suggest the FX 8320 and a nice Gigabyte 970 motherboard, the reason being that even lower/middle end Gigabyte models have 8+2 power phase design, which other companies motherboards do not usually have until you get into the 100 dollar range. A wider power phase design means better...

just some ideas, this should max out Battlefield 4 with 60+ FPS on 1080p pretty easily. An i5 is good enough, Intel's quad core processors are pretty much the cream of the crop when it comes to doing anything from gaming to video editing, and although AMD does pull ahead in multithread processes (like certain Adobe suite applications), it doesn't do so until you heavily overclock it. With an i5 you get the best of both worlds.

GTX 770 is one of the strongest single GPUs out there atm and should pretty much max out anything currently out at decent frames. Later on you can add one more to SLI, since it seems you want to go down this path I've also added a 850W gold rated PSU, which is pretty much necessary if you want to hold a high overclock on your CPU while having a dual GPU set up, because they chug power like crazy, PSUs of lower quality won't last under the pressure.

if you need me to change anything just ask :)

sweet!. ok so i only 540 bucks right now and idk if i should just get a pc for what i have or save up. the only problem is, is that i don't have a computer to do anything other than this mac book pro with i can really only play WoW and LoL and its going dead. USB 3.0 no longer works, crashes, battery is dead. i don't really mind if i can play BF4 on high in 1080p because i know for a fact when i get out of collage I'm going to build a crazy powerful pc lol.

so say if i bought a pc around 700 dollars including the OS, would i still be able to stream light video editing and play BF4 with decent graphics? i don't wanna go below high at 1080p and want to achieve at least 50+ fps. if it is not possible to build a pc for 700 bucks that can do that then i will just have to save up!

it is possible

i3 + R7 260x rig, later on you can upgrade it to an i5 or i7 (won't be able to overclock though because of a H81 motherboard, so be sure not to get a "k" CPU)

a R7 260x can handle BF4 on high settings at 1080p at around 60 FPS average, so it's a pretty good graphics card for the money.

streaming and light video editing will mostly be single thread programs so an i3 dual core won't cause many problems (will still be a bit weaker than an i5 of course)

so it is possible, the RAM and case are high quality so they'll last you through several upgrades most likely. I downgraded the PSU to a CX 500W instead, still a decent unit that can last several years/upgrades too, but you won't be able to use dual graphic cards, when you want to upgrade your GPU just sell the R7 260x and get a stronger one

outstanding man can't thank you enough :D. but final question... can a AMD FX-8350 stream? i know this will knock up the price due to one higher cost of the cpu and two the mother board. because i won't really be able to upgrade until a couple of years due to collage so if its just best for me to wait and save up more then i think i will have to due so.

A wider power phase design means better stability for overclocking and anything that produces heat or requires more power.

Also, if you do choose the FX CPU, be sure to get a 600W PSU instead, you'll need the extra headroom for an overclock
