I recently built a pc using these parts: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2XQQu

The build went fine and I installed Windows 8.1 Enterprise 64 bit. Other than my motherboard not recognizing the second ram slot, regardless of which stick I put in, the PC had no trouble running normal programs. Until I installed the NVIDIA 332.xx drivers. Then, whenever I would try to play Civ 5, AC2, or even LoL, my pc would crash after about 10 minutes of playing. Hell, sometimes when I was just watching a Twitch stream or youtube, the screen would go to black and then say "the driver 3xx.xx has crashed and recovered".

I tried the solution presented by this person here: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1798315/fixed-gtx-...
but even after doing all three steps multiple times, the crashes keep happening and I don't know why. After I would complete step 2 as well, my GPU idle temp would jump up 10-15 degrees Celsius from ~27 to ~42. Rolling back to 314.22 drivers didn't help with the crashes as it would still crash while running simple tasks or even staying idle.

I've also constantly reseated all the parts of my computer (HDD, GPU, CPU cooler, etc) except for my CPU to see if maybe something with the hardware was wrong. But nothing changed after I did those things

I keep stressing about this since I'd hate it if I wasted 800+ on a PC that won't work anymore. Does anyone have any solutions to this problem?

go to your motherboard website and download latest version of bios. Some problems like this happen due to out-dated bios, so try it and also update chipset or inf drivers.

Every piece of software is updated save for the Graphics card driver. Which I rolled back to 314.22 in an effort to fix the problem (it didn't).

I think while the ram slot is a problem, the main problem that makes my pc crash is the lack of driver stability. I don't know how to fix the latter

you should ask for RMA for your board, if you are facing any hardware problem. It won't provide you any support in long run if you are already facing hardware issues on you board. Better late than sorry :D

Okay, what's RMA and how do I ask for it?

where did you buy your motherboard? Call them and specify the problem you are going through when you are asked for. They will explain you further steps you will have to do. If for some reason your retailer(from who you bought the product) doesn't get you a new/repaired one, then contact the manufacture of your motherboard.
