Fan cooling options

Hello i currently have a cooler master storm trooper with 7 fans in it (4) LED ones (3) normal ones I was wondering how many the tower itself can handle cause i don't really want a fan controller cause most of them blow up but anyways i was told motherboards themselves can handle a few fans so my question is can my ASUS MAXIMUS VI EXTREME LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard and cooler master trooper handle 7 fans total? first building my tower so i might come off stupid :)

It depends on the fans in question some have molex connections which plug straight into the PSU.

But your mobo has 8x4-pin connectors so it will be fine even if they are all 3/4 pin connectors.
