Okay so I built a computer and installed windows 8 and everything was fine. I went on to install the drivers for everything and was done. After that I watched some videos and browsed the internet, and all of the sudden the computer shut down. I rebooted and went and down loaded HardwareMonitor to check the temp. Everything was fine running around 30c. So after maybe 20 minutes it happened again. I waited and tried again about 30 minutes later, and againi it happened again. I did put the CPU fan on and it had pre-applied thermal paste. I put a fresh copy of windows 8 on it. Please help me if you can. I will list the specs of the computer:

Motherboard - Msi 970A-G46

CPU - AMD FX 4300

GPU - ASUS GTX 760

HD - Seagate 1TB SATA

RAM - 8 GB Patriot Viper

DVDR - LITEON 24X Internal DVD/CD writer

PSU - Thermaltake TR2 600w

Looking at the next list is the psu a candidate. It is found under tier 5,

look what's said above that.

Does your monitor program give voltage readings too? Look at those too than.Atx specs are +/- 5% of their values,so the 12+ rail should be between 11.4V<->12.6V etc.The negative rail can deviate 10%.Big fluctuations aren't good as well.

Hey thanks a lot that was the problem. The power supply was no good. I went and returned it for a Cosair TX650M PSU and it works great now. Even seems to run cooler then before!
