Need help choosing new screen.

Hi, I have a GD245HQ right now but it hurts my eyes so I'm thinking on getting a smaller display but there are too many, even through the same brand.

I looked at the VS229HV and VX229H and 22EA53VQ and some others but I can't tell the difference between them. I am going to use the screen only for gaming and reading, please recommend me the best.

Well i've been looking around some more and I've narrowed my decision to these two:

Asus PA249Q https://www.asus.com/Monitors_Projectors/PA249Q/
LG 22MP65HQ http://www.lg.com/uk/monitors/lg-22MP65HQ

The LG one claims it reduces eye strain with its "Flicker-Safe" technology I wonder if its just a gimmick. I'd be thankful if someone monitor-savy can provide me with an answer of which one of these is better otherwise i'll just go with the LG one.

I can say that LG monitors stay perfect with no problem after years (That's just my opinion), because I have an LG FLATRON T705SH monitor that still works with no problem, and for the past 4 years I have been using the LG FLATRON L1752S monitor. I have never used (or seen) ASUS monitors in the market from where I buy my pc stuffs. I would go with the LG 22MP65HQ monitor if I were you.
