Hello everyone.

I am currently running a Intel Core i3 3240 @ 3.40Ghz, and it seems to heat up to about 55 degrees when playing games.

Is this normal? 55 degrees seems very hot for a cpu.

I am also running a Gigabyte GTX 760.

Thankyou for your help!!

Dear this is normal reading and you should not even be worried about it. If it goes near 75 or above then you should check it out. Your CPU temps are normal.

No,,it is normal,,the GPU should idle at 30-40 degrees and when under load,it should be within 75 degrees,,,so i wouldnt worry at all :)
BTW which game are you playing and what software do you use to mnitor the temp?

I was playing games like Dirt: 3, Skyrim, and Bf3, and I was using Piriform Speccy to monitor my temperatures.

Your GPU and CPU temps are perfectly normal,,dont break a sweat,,,if the CPU temp goes over 70-75,,then i would worry,,,and as for the GPU,if it gets in the 85's area, then you should be worried,,,GPUs are designed to run at more temperatures than CPU,,,so dont worry and enjoy gaming
