I have had a few parts for a while that have been in my old computer for quite some time. But, I need to get a new computer that will serve better for gaming. I plan on finishing the build at the latest by May. The parts I currently have are:

Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 1GB
Toshiba 1TB HDD (Newegg sent this laptop HDD instead of the RAM I ordered but hey I'm not complaining)
Thermaltake TR-700

I also have a TV that i plan on using as a monitor or I can just use my current monitor for a while until I get the money for a decent one.

I would like to see what you guys would think would parts go well with this build. I plan on crossfiring later, or just getting a completely new graphics card (if I went that route it would probably have to be a GTX 770). I'd prefer to have an Intel processor, but i'm fine with AMD if the price is right. I'd also like to know would a i5 be overkill for the 7850 and would an i3 be fine? Also, I would prefer to have 8GB of RAM.

Here's what I had.

I'd prefer around there to be the maximum price.

Thanks for all the help guys.

Core i5 is recommended for newer games as they are getting to be more CPU intensive. Don't buy the i3. Keep the i5.

8gb of RAM is also preferred.

I see no major problems with your build, and feel you're good to go.
