Hello,

I've recently decided to build a new computer, everything was going fine until I tried to boot it, and couldn't even get it to post. At first I thought there might be something wrong with the video card, as it made an odd noise, kind of like it was starting up and shutting down. I figured the easiest way to check was to unplug the video card, and boot using the motherboard video. Still, I got no post screen. Does can anyone suggest something? I assume at this point one of the components needs to be RMA'd, but I'm not sure which. Thanks for your help.

AMD FX-8320 Vishera 3.5GHz

Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

Thermaltake TR2 TR-600 600W ATX12V v2.3

GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-USB3 AM3+ AMD 760G + SB710 USB 3.0 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

MSI R7770-PMD1GD5 Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB 128-Bit GDDR5

I didn't include info on the harddrive, case/ etc . . . because it seems unnecessary, again, any help would be appreciated.

i think i know what the problem is... u need to update your bios with some other processor in order to run the one you are currently having... it is available on that motherboard only since bios v5.0 :p

No, no beeps, and the mobo should be compatible. I'm thinking maybe it's the RAM, I'm going to see if I can find someone at work that has some extra that I can use to test it.
