Hey guys,

I recently bought myself all of the components needed for my gaming pc, except for the graphics card.

The parts i have in my build are as follows :

Corsair c70 case
Corsair modular 600w power supply
Asus m5a97 evo r2.0 motherboard
amd fx 8320 processor
cooler master hyper evo 212 cpu cooler
8gb ddr3 corsair vengence 1866mhz ram
2 500gb hdds

All i need now is a graphics card, my budget is max £150. I intend to play games on high settings if possible at this price range on a 1920x1080 monitor. I will be playing games like: The witcher 2, far cry 3, skyrim, dishonored, bf4 etc.

Any help is much appreciated.

Many thanks

r9 270x is your best bet.

It will let you play all the games on high settings on that resolution and costs around 150 pounds.

Yes, choices are many.

I am using Sapphire and it works fine. All of the companies work fine. Choose one which you trust.

I personally choose Asus or Sapphire but Gigabyte and MSI are great too !

amd is the manufacture.... the rest of them are board partners who add customized coolers and distribute and sell them. if you dont plan on overclocking, then it doesn't matter, get the one with the best customer support and warranty. in this case, msi, gigabyte, and sapphire are all well known trusted brand names. their all going to generally overclock the same so for that card series for me, i would get the one with the best rated cooler that is quiet and offers decent temps.

Just to make sure before i click order, the r9 270x will provide the best experience for me at this price range? In terms of performance, fps etc.

Do you actually buy these 2 hdd's new or do you reuse them from an older build? if not you can save some money and just get one 1tb hdd.

Agree on the R9 270, probably best of the current cards for the price but a few other words.
The HD7870 is, to all intents and purposes the same card and you might find one on offer with a little searching.
The much better GTX760 is not a huge amount more, I'd strongly suggest you hold off and go for one of those instead-it's a better long term option.
If you've not already done so, have a look here: Dabs, CCL, Ebuyer, Scan, Aria, Pixmania, Novatech, Overclockers and Quiet PC. And Amazon.
