So I am short on time with MicroCenter, I only have a few days to return this mobo (15 day return policy). I have everything except for my RAM and Windows which i just ordered from NewEgg. I purchased the following items today.
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit - OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit - OEM

My buddy has 1 8GB stick of RAM: 8GB DDR3-1333 (PC3-10600) CL11 Dual Channel Desktop Memory Module

My question is can I use his stick to get to the boot menu to make sure everything is working and then change the RAM once I get my new RAM and windows 7? Or can I even get to the boot menu without any RAM to make sure the mobo is working okay? I just wanna get to Columbus microcenter in time to return the motherboard if need be.

The rest of my parts are as follows.
