Unable to see my files even make it to show hidden files

Hi,

I'm using win-8 OS, but i can't see my files even though folder capacity 10 GB.
Checked in folder option(show hidden file settings) but still unable to see.
Can any one help me to get it, as i have some important document, which is not showing.

Let's just go through it. You went to the Control Panel and went to Folder Options. You clicked on "view". You checked "show hidden files, folders and drives". Next uncheck " hide extensions of known files types". If you are dealing with operating system files you need to uncheck "hide "hide protected operating system files". Be sure you know what you are doing when you uncheck the last box.
