I have recently built a gaming computer, but am having trouble deciding on a monitor. I narrowed it down to 2 options, both are Asus.

Asus VS248H-P

vs

Asus VG248QE

Basically I am asking what the major difference between these 2 monitors is. I know that one is 60hz and the other is 144hz. Is it worth the $100 price difference though? Does the 144hz have lower picture quality do to increased refresh rate?

Thanks in advance!

Solution
The ASUS VG248QE is a fast TN pane lmonitor with a 144Hz refresh rate while the ASUS VS248H-P is IPS panel monitors with better color and viewing angles. The choice is up to you and what you value most, picture quality or performance.
You may want to take note that to make better use of the VG248QE's 144Hz refresh rate you will need some great graphical processing power.

I play mostly FPS's, mmo's and RPG's (battlefield 4, Rust, DayZ, Skyrim etc.). I value performance over picture, but also want a decent image quality. Do you think that I would be able to take advantage of a 144hz monitor? I haven't built the computer yet, just ordered the parts..
