Hello everyone, so as the title says this is my first build I am new to this but I did a lot of research before and came up with this list. My number one thing I am going to do is gaming so just you guys know!

Case: Phanteks Enthoo Primo

Mobo: Asus Maximus IV Hero

CPU: Intel Core i5 4670K

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master V8 GTS

GPU: Sapphire R9 290 TRI-X 4GB

PSU: Corsair RM1000

SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB

HDD: WD Red SATA 6GB/S 3TB

OS: Windows 8.1

Memory:
Corsair Vengeance Pro CMY8GX3M2A2400C11R
or
Crucial Ballistix Sport BLS2CP4G3D1609DS1S00CEU

So hope I informed you enough, about this and I open to new and good suggestions.
About the memory does the difference of 800 mhz really affect my gaming performance?
And about the GPU I really hate the orange Tri-X coolers does anyone know any red?

Regards,

Jeff

ps. is there anyone having experience replacing the blue led in the enthoo primo for RGB or red?

EDIT: I am also new to overclocking do you recommend I overclock this and yes does it affect my gaming performance?

Solution
I will recommend these changes: Switch the CPU Cooler to the Hyper 212 EVO. Very little difference and much cheaper. Change the GPU to an Nvidia GTX 760 or 770 from EVGA, Asus, or MSi (Non-stock coolers), change the PSU to a Corsair TX 750 watt V2 or any non CX series PSU from 500-760 watts. 1000 watts is VERY overkill. Even with high overclocks, the system will only use up to ~600 watts, change the Hard drive to a Caviar Black, Reds are for NAS systems which need performance over reliability. For the RAM, I would use the Corsair Vengeance Pro's, but get 8Gb of DDR3-1866MHz CAS 9 for better performance.

Thanks for the reply, money isn't a thing so for the CPU cooler I stay with the GTS because it really looks neat.
About the GPU is the GTX 760 or 770 really better than than the Sapphire r9 290? Because I really saw some good reviews about the sapphire.

And about the hard drive around here (I'm from the Netherlands) can't find many of them and the ones i do find have low storage capacity. And about the PSU and memory I will look into it, thanks!

thanks didn't know that, sorry for asking I'm really a newbie to this, does the 2gb not make any difference between the standard 770 and the r290? so I came up with the Palit Geforce GTX 770 4 GB will this be a better one then?

Don't say you're a newbie :) Everyone, when they first came here, most likely didn't know a lot about PC, but once you start asking and answering questions, it's amazing how fast you can learn new stuff in computers :)

For the 2Gb question, I use this method: How many monitors you have= ~how much RAM you need, so at most, a GTX 770 can support 2-3 monitors, the r9 290 with ~3, as Nvidia is more efficient, while AMD gives raw performance. I would recommend 2 Gb for at least 2-3 years.

True that! and after some more research and some other help I think it's best to save some more money and get a Palit GeForce GTX 780 Super JetStream 3GB really great benchmarks!

I still have a other question about the memory you said the Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR3-1866MHz CAS 9 would give better performance than the Corsair Vengeance Pro CMY8GX3M2A2400C11R but the last one is 2400MHz where the first is 1866MHz or are you saying I should get 16GB of RAM? because the only DDR3-1866MHz CAS 9 I can find is 16GB.
