I don't know if it's this but worth a try to look at,

if you right click the sound icon in the tray and choose "sounds" you get a tab "communications" as well,open that one and with mine there is checked/marked "decreasing sounds with 80%",maybe checking/marking "no action taken" will solve your problem....?

update your drivers if they aren't. Same thing happened to me and I just updated the drivers. Then I put on the mic boost (it had static) so i turned on noise suppression. The noise suppression wasn't there before updating the drivers so that might be the issue.
