Hi!

My PS3 has come to a problem where the picture flashes and is unbearable. AVI is not an option due to lov resolution and refresh rate - so is it possible to change the GPU at home?

I'm guessing its a gpu connected to the main board in it that holds the HDMI and AVI output, if I could buy one of those on eBay and replace it myself as I got quite some knowledge on computes.

Could someone please find a GPU to the PS3 Slim on eBay that ships worldwide and is not too expensive.

Please understand that I'm not asking due to lacyness, I just do not know the right GPU to search for

All the best,
Erik

Odds are the PS3's GPU is soldered onto the mainboard, and cannot be replaced without replacing the entire mainboard. At that point you might as well just buy a new PS3. Consoles are not like PCs, they aren't designed to be serviced by the end user at all.
