My issue is that card is running at 99% in some really badly optimized games like Rust or new PlagueIncEvolved pre-alpha game even though it's 2D graphical game literally.

Since my job is to stream them longer during day I noticed that I'm getting 80-82c on 99% usage and my side panel on case it's really hot even though I have couple fans exactly there. I went into MSI Afterburner and I changed fan speed from auto to 75% and I got steady 70-73c.

Is it okay to run gpu all the time on higher fan speed or I should set auto every time when I dont play game ? It's not noisy at all.

83C really is not that hot and nothing to worry about. High RPM on your fan speed really does not matter if its a quality card and if the noise is fine, then you can do it.

I can not speak for those games unfortunately. Unless you have this problem in more common games too.

Thanks, I was just concerned about ambient temperature overall in my case. I have Thermaltake V3 which is mid tower, I have EVO212 with push/pull combo, one fan at the back of case directly getting air out from EVO212 even more and one is at the top to get even more air from EVO212 since I was concerned about new Haswell. I have another fan on the side of the case but it's still really hot, kinda reminds me on old 8800 and Crysis 1 from 2008 if I remember correctly.

Other games which doesnt really use 99% doesnt make any overheating but I noticed that with 75% fans I'm getting 10c lower and I though that it's smarter to do that but I will leave it on auto then, thanks.

Well what are the fans doing? Which are intake and which are exhaust fans?

It should be like this. Note that the PSU is NOT circulating any air except only through itself.

Looks like plenty of airflow to me. The GPU affecting the CPU temp at all?

Top area of the case is exactly like that including one more on EVO212 on the left side. Ofcourse I have exhaust on the side panel for GPU.

I have place on my case near PSU as on picture but it's just near PSU at the bottom and one more where are HDD's but motherboard supports 2 cpu fans and 3 case, which are already takken at the back, top and side.

After playing that game at 80c I can see that idle temperatures on CPU are like 2-3 higher but it's completely random, ingame doesnt really affect CPU temperatures.

Normally the side panel is intake giving fresh cool air to the GPU. Front will benefit from intake as well. the additional fans can connect directly to the PSU.

Just to clarify things,

http://www.thermaltake.com/db/products/case/versaG2/03....

Spots #3 and #2 are same with difference that I have one at #2. But why on this picture spot #4 is intake ? I have it as exhaust there, I even though that I should replace it on #5 as exhaust but on picture is intake aswel ?

Ok ion meaning time @rolli59 answered. Should I replace that as intake on side panel ? Also this PSU isnt modular which is a issue :)

Edit: I see that there are adapters for more fans so I will be looking into that, but for now should I try with intake on side ?

I would try it and see if it affects temps!

I just realized that my fans worked on 50%, I did some settings in bios and now all of those are on 75% but they are silent so its not a problem. I will run furmark now and see both intake and exhaust how perform. Thanks for suggestions !

Well looks better, in furmark is on 75c instead 80c and cpu is littlebit cooler but my issue is that I dont have dust filter on side. It's pretty clean here since we have baby but again I can find a lot of dust on table every day since I'm living in middle of the city and all that crap.

I have 2 questions.

Can somehow this now intake fan make issue to fans on GPU if they somehow interfere with air flow ?

Should I leave intake with better temperatures without dust filters (case doesnt support it, only way is to improvise with something) ? Also at the top I dont have second exhaust fan and no dust filter. Cleaning every month or two with air compressor components without removing them from motherboard should be fine in worst case scenario ? I have dust filters at the bottom for PSU and one intake fan but it's more important to have one at the side.

Leave it as intake, the cool air is helping the GPU stay cool. I clean mine 2 to3 times a year and never have temp issues. Regardless of dust filters I get plenty in there.

Thanks, after near 1 hour of running that same game temperature was locked on 70c. I guess intake is doing fine job. I appreciate your help.
