Best Air Cooling Fan For Overclocking

Hey all!

I was wondering what the best aftermarket fan I could buy for my Intel i7-4969X would be. I am planning to over clock it. Please leave me suggestions and descriptions as to why I should get the certain aftermarket fan. I appreciate your responses.

^^ I've Heard nothing but good for the 212, plus I have a 212 Plus (Step below the EVO) and I believe it^^

Want to OC with Air Cooling, get a CM Hyper 212, the Plus should do OK for $1-2 Less or so then the EVO(unless you have the Extra Buck or 2 to spare for the EVO)

You are right! I have the Hyper 212 EVO and my CPU is OCed to 4.6 GHz without any issues for over a year! Temps fine!

The difference between the Hyper 212 and the EVO model is that the EVO has direct contact heat pipes and is the the more recent model from CM.

Not sure if you mean a cooler or a fan. If you mean a cooler then the Noctua NH-D14 is the absolute best cpu air cooler there is. It's on par with a lot of water coolers.

If you mean fans it's still the Noctua fans. They are the best performing and quietest fans there are.
