Currently going to do a build with these parts, but trying to go lower with the cost without sacrificing much performance. Does anyone know of better choices?

CPU: AMD FX-6300 (~$100)
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB (~$138)
Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M LX PLUS AM3+ ($37.99)
HDD: Got It!
Case: http://t.tigerdirect.com/products/2617303 ($49.99)
RAM: 1333MHz 4GB Generic 240-pin RAM ($29.99)
PSU: Logitech 550W Power Supply ($20.31)
OS: Got it!

No need for anything but the desktop, I have a monitor and mouse/keyboard. Have a old 500GB HDD (7200RPM) and a copy of Windows 7 Professional already.

Big question: Could this run Borderlands 2 on the highest settings?

Isn't the HD 7850 (1GB or 2GB) faster than the GTX 650 Ti?

Yes, but, it's also $50+ more right now.

By that logic you should get a 660 for $15 ish more then the 7850.

Read what CaptainTom and dudewitbow says!

I'd go with the 660 if you have the extra cash to throw on top, especially for the Shadowplay, in case you ever want to record and not lose much FPS/CPU usage.

I wouldn't grab a Zotac, personal choice, neither that board. ASRock and a EVGA.

How about a different case? I want the majority of USB ports upfront (4+).
