So I am think I am ready to build my first computer and I want something I can game and watch movies/anime with. My current computer is a laptop that is really weak, I can only play wow on low with like 25 fps and I can barley watch shows in 720p :(  So im looking for a big upgrade :) . I will not be overclocking and this budget does include OS but not the monitor. Any help or tips :p  would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

@veladem you chose a unlocked processor with a locked mother board. im not sure if this was on purpose or not. because the op isnt overclocking you can switch the 4670k to the 4670 and it will save you some money.

It's only ten bucks difference and if he wants to keep the CPU in a couple years and upgrade his MoBo he'll be good to OC. So ten bucks, no biggie.

PS: Pretty sure you can still OC with that board... Just no SLi/CF...

So, I'm really just future proofing it.

Again, ten bucks, no biggie, better then him getting the 4670 now and deciding later he'd like to dabble in OC'ing cause that would cost more then ten bucks.

no problems, that what i was suspecting since that build is really good, usually if someone does that they dont really know much and choose some crazy parts

@op veladem's build will be great for what you need, and more. if you want you can start playing some games at high/ultra settings

Ya I took my time to look at all the parts.....the case looks nice and looks like it has good wire control. It doesn't look like it would be to hard to build it. It doesn't matter that there is no usb 3.0 port on case but one on the motherboard? Again I am new to building computers so I will have my uncle kinda supervise it but I will be building it myself so I'm just making sure.

you just wont use the usb3.0 port on the motherboard, so it doesnt matter

OK the build looks great, I know it wasn't in my original post but any have any monitor recommendations. It is totally separate from the budget of the computer. I would prefer something 22-24 inch, 1080p, 1920x1080......You know all the good stuff :p  I want to spend about 200-250$ on the monitor alone.

Yeah, that board doesn't have USB 3.0 ports, in reality they are a luxury, I could still find a board around the same budget that would allow the case to have proper USB 3.0 front panel connections.

PS: Sorry for the late reply, was out eating and such.
