I want to use 8 monitors with real time data. Each 1080p monitors would have 2 or 3 windows open while running together. What would you suggest as parts to build this PC? I don't no nothing about PC internally. I want it to be fast in real time data with no lag, There will be no games or 3D editing or music use, just stock trading looking at charts in real time with level 2 price quotes in real time. Im on a budget also so what would you think is best?
Thanks for your reply

No games or 3D editing at all, just day trading with stocks. I want each monitor to have about 3 windows open with charts and level 2 quotes in real time. fast real time, no lag...

I am an attorney, and want to build a PC to hold 8 monitors. I will work with MS WORD, Mindmap software and lots of browser windows opened. No games, no 3d editing.

There are two suggestions made in this thread and I would like to know if they will fit my needs.

If possible, please tell me which PC monitor should I choose to allow me to read two windows opened at the same time comfortably.

Thanks.

My apologies for the above quote. Either computer will fit your needs as both support up to 8 monitors. The only difference is the more expensive one is slightly faster. (Feel free to pick your own mid-tower ATX case. As for a monitor, well, it's really your own personal preference. See if you can go to your local computer and/or electronics store and test out some monitors. If it was me, I would choose a 1080p 24 inch. But if you want to spend less you could go 21 inch. Here's a good one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236205
If you have any questions feel free to ask :)

Thanks a lot. I have found out about the LG 29 inches ultra wide monitor http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-29EA93-P-led-monitor
I will see if I can find a store to test it. If it can substitute 2 monitors I may use 4 (which will provide me 8 windows for research and text edition) surrounded by 2 smaller monitors in portrait orientation to show A4 size pages from cases. If this setup works 6 monitors will provide me 10 windows: 8 for research, Microsoft word use and mind mapping. 2 for reading documents and cases'

Feel free to share your thoughts about what I have in mind. Thanks,

No problem. That LG monitor has a feature in which it can be used as (up to) four monitors. It just splits itself into 4 different sections. Just wanted to let you know. What you have is great. Good luck! :D

I have one more question if you don´t mind answering, but I can create another thread if you prefer.

Apparently the LG monitor has a DisPlayport 1.2, which would allow me to connect other monitors without the use of extra graphics cards.

http://www.pcworld.com/article/2035700/how-displayport-multi-streaming-delivers-new-levels-of-multi-monitor-madness.html
http://www.displayport.org/cables/driving-multiple-displays-from-a-single-displayport-output/

Assuming I purchase 6 monitors with thedisplayport 1.2 feature, would you make any adjustments on what you suggested?

Thanks

I didnt notice that feature before. Now what it does is allows you to connect monitors without a direct connection to the GPU. There is still a limit on how many monitors a GPU can handle. To put it simply: it just allows for a cleaner workspace and less cables coming from the back of the computer. So no, changes do not need to be made
